When major events take place, such as international summits, diplomatic visits, or military movements, every detail behind the scenes matters. What the public sees is a precise, perfectly choreographed moment. What they don’t see is the invisible backbone of logistics; timing, collaboration, mobility, coordination, and trust.
This fall, Ramp to Ride was called upon by Onward Aviation to support the United States Air Force during G7 Summit operations for U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s crew. While we can't discuss the specifics of government or military procedures, we can speak to what we delivered on our side and why our model gives FBOs a meaningful edge in serving sensitive, time-critical missions.
In operations like these, the stakes are high. Timing is tight, expectations are uncompromising, and reliability becomes the quiet currency of trust. When something slips—even slightly—it’s the FBO who feels the impact first, often absorbing the pressure, the delays, and of course, the consequences. This is exactly where a system built for aviation-grade logistics becomes not just beneficial, but essential.
For this mission, high-capacity vehicles were requested with almost minimal lead time. The request came in just a few business days before the G7 arrival, which meant everything had to move quickly: preparing rental agreements, extending insurance, activating payment systems, coordinating delivery, and ensuring airside readiness. Vehicle readiness is the bread and butter of Ramp to Ride, but military operations expect even more when it comes to inspections, redundancy, and reliability—and that’s where our system is built to excel. Vehicles that remain on-site are a core pillar of Ramp to Ride's offering, and in this case and many others, it's a mission-criticial advantage.
Normally, this level of turnaround would be difficult for any off-site rental provider. But because Ramp to Ride is integrated directly into the FBO workflow—on site, software-connected, and built for rapid deployment—we were able to move immediately. Within hours, the vehicles were reserved, rental agreement(s) processed, and operations were a "GO" in our pipeline for delivery.
This set the foundation for everything that followed. When Onward Aviation needed a solution on short notice, the system was ready to respond, and what made the handoff seamless was how our readiness matched theirs. The military team arrived more than half a day early with built-in redundancy in preparation for the Sectary of States' arrival. Our processes aligned perfectly with Onward Aviation and the military's standard.

We provided the Secretary’s crew with exactly what the operation demanded for their various logistics and support crews. The provisioning of both a Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Mercedes Sprinter Van (passenger) was prepared in advance so the FBO could deliver instant, airside-ready mobility.
Key actions included:
The handoff was seamless because every detail was handled before the aircraft even landed—a standard that aligns directly with military expectations.

This level of readiness isn’t possible without the platform behind it. Ramp to Ride’s integrated software gives FBOs the tools neccessary to manage military-grade logistics with confidence. Without it, a request like this would normally turn into a tangle of phone calls, scattered texts, and easily missed details, especially under tight timelines.
Our system enabled Onward Aviation to:
The software transformed what would normally be a rushed, high-pressure scramble into a structured, predictable process. It empowered the FBO to operate with the same precision and reliability that the military expects, even on short notice.
Everything described above works because of the system behind it. Ramp to Ride is not just a rental operation, it's a complete platform and ecosystem that gives the FBO the power to deliver last-mile service with the same consistency every time.
Our software brings the entire workflow together:
This is how an FBO becomes a true logistics partner, not just a facility. It's how the FBO wins.

Military units, federal teams, and high-profile delegations alike will always need secure, predictable ground mobility. The question isn’t whether the need exists, but who is equipped to meet it. Ramp to Ride makes the FBO the most reliable last-mile logistics partner on the field. On site, integrated, secure, and ready for scale.
When the next aircraft arrives with mission-critical personnel, experienced partners like Onward Aviation can step into that moment with complete confidence, supported by a system designed exactly for this purpose.
We delivered reliability when reliability mattered—powered by systems built specifically for military-grade operations.
